Like OMG. Really? Oh I am so like ready for lunch today.

Just heard the above two things said by the new girl here. She's 22, blonde, nice to look at but dumb as a rock. I swear I didn't know people actually threw the word like in their conversations as often as she does. To make it worse she is from freaking Kansas and talks that way. Do they not teach English anymore?

Yes, it is very noticeable when people use words too often. I had an ex gf that would love to use "per se" at every opportunity she could find. It was very annoying. Really though with the use of the word "like", it's similar to people giving presentations and using the word "um" a lot. They're filling in space until they can find the next thing to say.

She talks at 100mph. No space for her to fill.
