Heh, Cases & Cooling isn't a very active forum, so I thought, "what the heck." Here's a chance to do some good w/the awesome power of the AT Effect.

We're trying to get a bunch of people to post in this thread on the Coolermaster forums to show support for them to produce their new product, the Aerogate II in black. As of now, they only plan to produce silver, which is ridiculous b/c this is a "high end" product and most folks buying it have a high-end case...and don't want to mess up the aesthetics.

The Aerogate is a really snazzy fan controller/temp sensor with lots of great features...looks to be the best thing out there, so far.

One review of the Aerogate II

Another review...good pics

Join myself, mechBgon and other really cool AT personalities in pummeling Coolermaster into taking the money from our wallets!

FWIW. Thanks. :)

*disclaimer*
No, i don't work for or have any financial interest in Coolermaster, it's affiliates, your momma, etc.......I just want the stupid thing in black, thanks very much.

If this thing can control CCFLs then I'm all for it. I need a power switch in the front of my case

This argument is slightly flawed. What do you mean by "high-end case?" Would that be along the lines of a silver, aluminum case which the product appears it would match with no problem.

You are correct. But it does NOT match a BLACK ALUMINUM case, now does it? :D

I personally think black and silver looks great together. A black case with all silver drives would look really good. Going all one color is like a fat woman wearing an all pink jumpsuit - makes her look like a big marshmallow.

But thanks for the link to this product, it may come in handy for a machine I'm building. I needed a cheap thermal sensor and fan controller.

That really comes down to personal preference. In my opinion either silver or black would match the case.

*gets teary-eyed*

But, but, but...I'm going all one color with my new case. I think an all black case, w/black drives, SET OFF by a snazzy lit-up controller like the Aerogate will look bitchin'! (That's 80's-speak for "really funky fresh")

It's a pretty neat product; I'm glad you like the linkage. :)

Sounds like a pretty worthless product to me. Spend $45 so that you can take a bunch of $12 fans that you didn't need in the first place, and turn them off because they're noisy.

OR: You could skip the $45 controller, and the 4 $12 fans, and you have the same noise level, and an extra $90 in your wallet.

You dont live in the desert now do ya?
In summer time I have major heat problems...but in the winter its cold.
So i either have to take the computer apart as weather permits and add or remove fans.
But if yer complaint is about $$$ {this is really a toy and a convenience thing} then you dont have to buy it.

Oh, but you'll spend that $500 to have the heads for your Mustang cross-flowed, 5-way valve grind and copper gaskets, right?

Oh, but that's DIFFERENT, I'm sure. :p

It's a very useful gadget. Looks good, serves a purpose. Plus, guys want it. Chicks dig it. I feel cool.

Better heads make the Mustang faster. More fans do not make the PC faster. I would not think it was stupid if you spent $90 on a faster CPU or video card.

You don't need case fans?

Whoa, nice case!

I like that; nice looking 1040!! How long did it take you to sleeve all the cables? I want to do the same thing to mine...don't wanna muck it up though. Do I NEED to buy the "Molex removal tool" for $15 or can I get away with a tiny screwdriver? Thanks much!
