Ligitech MX700 W/games

Hello, I just got my MX700 today and love it of course, but in Day of defeat (a mod for half-life) the extra buttons don't work (thumb, scroll buttons). I tested it in the half life main game and they work fine for misc commands i assign them. Could it be because it's a mod? I found an article on the logitech website that covers game compatability, and it talks about a registery key that stores all the game .exe's and hl.exe is in there. Logitech article Does anyone have and ideas? I e-mailed the support and am waiting for a responce.

I am not sure. I have an MX700 also and I think it is the best thing ever. I dont really use the extra buttons in games, so it doesnt matter for me.
