Lightweight laptops

Can anyone tell me why there's an 800$ difference between these 2 and is it even warranted?

Am I going to kick myself for getting a 15 inch vs a 17 inch one? As far as gaming it would be occasional use as I use it mostly for gaming when I'm on business trips. My current laptop is 8lb which is really cumbersome

I know this is a really late reply... sorry about that, just figure it's good to answer.

The only immediately obvious difference is the SSD (256GB on the pricier model versus 128GB).

As for laptop sizes: if portability is your thing, you'll easily prefer a 15-inch laptop over a 17-inch system. You go 17 inches if you're getting a system that will primarily serve as a desktop and just happens to fold up for transport. I'd say 15 inches is as large as it gets for a system that's truly portable, and you should get a 15-incher that's under 6 pounds.

Personally: if I were buying a highly portable laptop with gaming in mind, I'd probably lean toward the 14-inch Razer Blade. Not the absolute fastest, but at 4.1 pounds it's easy to take with you just about anywhere.
