I bought the MX700 6 months ago and recently gaming again. Do they make lightweight rechargable AA batteries. I found a pair of AA taht are freggin light but not rechargable. Any help would be appreciated, thx
I wouldn't call AA NiMH batteries especially light, but those are the obvious choice.
If you are really into mod'ing things, with a bit of work you could probably mod the battery compartment to take a lipoly battery and extend the battery life and lighten things up significantly. It'd take some effort though.
Energizer used to (still?) make lithium ion AAs, unfortunately they were not rechargeable but they did last pretty darn long and weighed half as much as the lightest AA I ever used. Used to put two in my HP 200LX -- lasted 4x longer than normal alkalines.
if battery life isn't super important, you can yank one of the AA's out of the mouse and put a paper clip between both battery leads, it will function fine with 1 battery, but it will drain much much quicker.
