Looking for a friend who wants to spend very little on a computer unfortunately. I've tried talking them into spending more, but not much I can do.
She's a grad student so won't be doing any heavy work. She likes the idea of a lightweight computer, and even one with a tablet screen that is detachable. Max is probably $600. Although less than $500 is ideal.
I'd ideally like 4 GBs or more, with a good processor (i3 or a4 at least), and if possible, a SSD. I won't be able to swap out a hard drive, and some of these computers, I know that's not even an option.
She liked this one (processor is a pentium, not SSD, and 4 GB RAM): http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-y...&skuId=3297045
I felt this was slightly better, but arguably too big for her liking: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...9625&CatId=219
