You know the lights on powerbars that usually double up as the on/off switch? I've noticed that some older ones have lights that flicker. Does that have anything to do with the integrity of the powerbar?

Edited title: For those who talk differently than I do :)

I've always called them powerstrips. Still, I wonder about that, too.

I'm guessing the flickering is more due to crappy/old LEDs than it is due to electrical issues. You could always get a multimeter and do some (accurate) testing of your own.

If you're talking about the illuminated power switch, the flickering would mean it's probably a neon lamp inside the switch.

I just take it as the light is going bad, nothing I'd use on expensive computer stuff though, APC all the way!
