Figured this was the appropriate forum to ask, since most of you would have more of a chance of having used the program.

So I had a original collection of photos from a wedding. I have to edit about 40 futher in photoshop for some minor touchups like acne removal, distracting people in the background etc.

So I export the photos from Lightroom 2 into Photoshop CS3, save em as a TIF. I've saved them in the same folder as the original RAW files, yet they won't show up in my collections in Lightroom.

Any idea why?

Thanks in advance :)

You have to import them. It doesn't just grab everything in a folder. Well I use 1.3 so.....

When I specifically tell LR to edit something in PS then it will show up as the edited version. But if I just exported then edited in PS then saved into that same folder - no they wouldn't show up. You would have to import them.

I didn't realize 2.0 was out....going to have to try it out. I'm sure it's worth getting.

it is IMO. The changes were enough to convince me to switch from Aperture. Basically improved library management (which was my primary purpose). Adds dual screen support too, but I'm not there yet.

Still hate how it manages metadata input... basically using commas and apostrophes for delimiters, making commenting annoying.

I don't really comment anything - every shoot has it's own folder with a descriptive name, arranged by date so I can find stuff easily enough.

I really like the dual monitor.

However, this means I need to calibrate my second monitor. Ugh.

You can select it to keep the copy in Lightroom (at least in v1.4 with a PSD file). That way it will show up next to the original.
