Lightning to 3.5mm jack adapter?

My kid recently got a iPhone 7 (early Christmas present). I need to find her an adapter for their headphones but everything I see on Amazon only works pre iOS 11.

I admit I am not an Apple user (and not a huge fan) but is there any basic adapter out there that works? Or do they need actual new headphones?

Oh, then yea get the Apple one. It's $9 and you can find it basically everywhere (Walmarrt, Target, Best Buy, etc.).

I'd recommend picking up a couple of them. It's helpful to keep them all around as you never know when you'll need one. Unfortunately, I haven't followed my own advice, and I only have one at work. So, if I want to use wired headphones at home, I can't. You could also get some pretty basic wireless headphones. I think I paid between $15-20 for mine from Amazon, and they work fine. Sure, they aren't Jaybirds or Beats, but I'll take the difference in cost. 😛
