Well a pretty good thunderstorm hit last night and brought with it some pretty sweet fork lightning. I took this shot from my attic window...

Not as sharp as I would have liked but I did do a little post-processing to fix it up a bit.

I don't have the full EXIF here at work but I believe it was shot for 11s at f/15 (using bulb mode)

Unfortunately I shot it at 800. I was in a rush to setup before the storm moved on and forgot to set it back to 100.

The other shots totally put mine to shame but at least they put it up! I also didn't do quite as much color enhancement as some of the guys in that gallery.

While 5 and 6 are fantastic, yours is still better than the first 3.
THe first 3 have distracting composition.
Your composition is clean and interesting (i like how it goes through the chapel or whatever that thing is).
The only bad thing about yours is the noise :(

Nice job! I'd give you the silver out of that bunch; # 5 seems otherworldly and wins by sheer intensity. I like yours better than #6; that one is too far away and the lightning seems more of an afterthought than the subject.
Just don't go wearing that medal out in the next storm! Although that could be a great shot...
