It seems that the electricity, once it makes contact with ground it forms a complete circuit then starts pumping full power into that wireless circuit. Cool.

This has almost always been known. Aren't all plasmas superconductive?

Pretty awesome. At even faster frame rates you'd also see items around the area having small lightning bolts shooting out towards the sky. Once they connect it then discharges the rest of the electricity into the lightning bolt that we see.

Actually when it connects with the ground the flash you is the energy from the ground going to the clouds.
