Too bad it has been a relatively bust year in NYC for thunderstorms. Two good ones I was not here for. :(

This video sent in brings back memories. This guy was sitting foolishly on a porch taking this with a small digicam.

The one bolt looks really really close but judging by the thunder it isn't. Must have been a lens artifact that made it appear really close.

Was kind of soothing though.

I live in South FL which is said to be the lighting strike capital of the world... I'm very familiar with crazy ass lighting storms :D


And hurricanes :(
