Lightning dock/clock radio the doesn't suck?

All the inexpensive ones seem to suck. There are some higher end ones out there, but I'm not going to spend several hundred bux to buy one. The nice sounding ones according to reviews are kinda too large for my tastes anyway.

So, for a clock radio, I still continue to use... a clock radio. It wakes up to FM radio.
 
So far I tried the Sony one, the ihome and both I had to take the case off to use. Returned both. I got the HMDX HX-B710 for x-mass and so far seems fine. I only use it to charge and occasionally for music, and it was fine for the job. I did trim the dock a little (dremel) so I could fit it with the case on. Review are not great, but seems to be working ok.
 
I like the iHome ones, I've had three over the years. They have pretty decent sound quality for their size, not boomy or distorted to hell like other docks, and the price isn't bad at ~$100.
