got a scenario here that i need advice on.

let's say i want to mount 8 LED lights. each light is 4 watts and has a consumption of 4 amps and an output of 800 lumens. Voltage is 9-24VDC.

what kind of issues would i run into if i plug it directly into the power socket? other option is to connect it to the 12v post on the battery. maybe i should get it done professionally.

32W of lights would pull only 2.66A on a 12V line. A cigarette lighter socket should be good for 10A+, and a dedicated power socket for even more.
