Where are the fun, light-hearted political discussions?

Things are so intense around here. :(

Not all political discussions must be over Iraq.

Which AT'er? :p

I guess I can be a bit intense myself, so it's a bit rich of me to ask others to lighten up. ..

But what the heck, lighten up folks! :p

I agree with the P&N vs. OT distinction. If you need a friend, go to OT. ;) Of course a dog would be much more interesting.

5-1-2005 Laura Bush the comedian makes George squirm

US first lady Laura Bush has stolen the show with a surprise comedy routine that teases her husband President George W Bush.

The performance at a dinner honouring award-winning journalists brought a standing ovation from the audience - that included much of official Washington and a dash of Hollywood.

She said that her husband actually knew little about ranching when they bought their ranch in Crawford, Texas.

"I'm proud of George. He's learned a lot about ranching since that first year, when he tried to milk the horse. What's worse, it was a male horse"

Two peanuts are walking down the street. One peanut turns to the other and says "Did you hear about today's carnage in Iraq?" The other peanut then replies "This is the worst peanut joke I've ever been in"

It's really hard to keep things light when there are people that can't even post a thread without attacking someones belief systems in the title.

The news from Washington can be funny if you focus on the sideshows and ignore the nasty reality.

Lets see... the week starts off with the President holding hands with a Saudi prince, and ends with his wife joking about him jerking off a horse. Yep, the news is pretty funny.
