Lightbox ad without manual trigger (not in forum, on main site)

Wasn't sure where to report this for them or if it is expected, but I don't tend to expect obtrusive advertising like that on AT so I grabbed some screenshots.

That's normal behavior for an ad, from what I've seen. This is as expected.

Launching full screen with a lightbox without being hovered or clicked on is normal, acceptable behavior for Anandtech? News to me...

Every since the acquisition, the Ads on anandtech.com have gotten significantly more intrusive. It's gotten bad enough sometimes that I have been forced to re-enable Adblock so I can read the actual content on the website.

I want to give AnandTech the ad revenue, but there is a limit to what I can tolerate.

Inframe/lightbox popups, auto playing video ads (especially with sound), and a large quantity of ads that significantly hamper the usability of the website, are not acceptable.
