Hello,

I have the below multi-card reader installed with my computer.

I upgraded Windows 7 to 10 last night. I then shutdown after exploring windows 10 for a bit, and the blue LED on the front of the multi-card reader remained illuminated after the computer powered down. This has not happened in the past, and I imagine based on the timing it might be a feature of Windows 10 to power USB ports or something while the computer is off.

I would like any input as to an explanation of what is going on, and possible ways to turn off the LED. I know I could cover it with some tape, but I like to know what is happening.

Here is my setup as best I know it. It has been awhile since I built my computer, and I am at work and cannot access my computer.

That is all I can find.

Thanks.

It just means it has power and you can use the USB port for charging with the computer turned off.

There is likely a BIOS setting to disable it. Mine's been that way a long time. I'll fiddle with it this evening and see if I can find the setting.

It's going to be under APM if it's there.

ASUS calls it "EUP". Not sure what ASROCk calls it.

It was "deep s4" on my asus board. Changing that made the card reader power down with no light.

Thank you so much. I was able to get it to turn off when the computer is powered down. It was a deep sleep setting enabling S4/S5 on my board. Your suggestions were perfect and I was able to figure it out as a result of them.

Thanks.
