Light Content Management Solution?

I wanted to create a site without writing existing code, but all the CMS's that I have found are really heavy with a bunch of features I don't need. They're also written in templated systems, which I don't want to learn at this point. Are there lighter, simpler CMS's out there?

I am looking at PHP, and I definitely want to use a SQL database. The only real features I am looking for are the ability to post articles with topics and comments. I can get forums separately, but it would be nice to integrate the users for articles and topics.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.
