Someone I know has been diagnosed with CUPS (Cancer of Unknown Primary Origin), that has metastasized to their lung, vertebral column, and leg. They had a leg, two vertebrae, and part of a lung removed. Now they said the oncologist has told them they will likely need to be on chemo for the rest of their life.
If someone needs chemo for the rest of the life, does that mean they won't be able to live long? Can you live a long life on chemo?
This person is in their late 30s, and I hope they live long enough to see all of their children graduate high school and college.
