My wife told me about a girl who works with her, who does the shopping for lunch and snacks. Everybody chips in, and she buys a few weeks worth at the grocery store, which saves them all money. My wife says she starts talking about food from the moment she walks in, till they leave that night. And, she likes the most obscure snack and junk food. I chuckled at that, and thought nothing more of it till I started my new job.
I pace myself throughout the day, looking forward to a snack at 8:30AM. I've already had a 20oz. hot chocolate, or couple cups of tea by then, as well as put in 2 1/2 hours of work. I was so happy to see this place had familiar vending machines, which included "Famous Amos" chocolate chip cookies! Those and a fresh cup of tea just make my whole morning. I was bummed last week when they quit stocking those cookies. Damn! Now I know how that girl, who works with my wife, feels.
Speaking of treats, if you like good chocolate, I've found a cheap fix that also makes my day. Dark Chocolate Mint Nestle Treasures. OMG! :Q Like I said, I truly understand where that gal is coming from, now.
