Lifers vs. Non-Lifers

As I sit here, only 12 posts away from becoming a "Lifer," I am beginning to wonder if it is a mark of distinction (for having contributed to a community) or a label worthy of public scorn (for having wasted hours on here reading drivel)?

I don't believe it's really a mark of distinction. IMO, people gain respect from the quality of their posts rather than the quantity.
