gunzipped the file
tar -xvf lifemapper-i386-linux.tar
./lifemapper

and she is running

now can i add a second instance?

I amj running mandrake 9.2 smp linux

Yes, you can run a second instance, just put it in another directory... I do an LM directory, with 2 subs under that, lm1 and lm2. Each of those is for a seperate processor. runs just fine. 🙂


I don't use Mandrake, rather Suse 9.1 and it works fine just as Mandrake does. As long as the system recognizes the processors, you are set to go.

I installed them in lifemapper-1 and lifemapper-2 😛

and they are doing great, after i reinstalled mandrake...it had problems on hard disk a so i moved it to hard disk b lol

now to get my ich5r driver for linux
