Life on Mars - US Version

why cant the US just watch the orignal versions? why do they always have to remake good entertainment and turn it into crap?

well, the Office turned out OK IMO (although not as good as the UK version). I guess with this series a lot of the appeal is with the cultural values the show references in the 70's. A lof of the UK stuff would make no sense to a US viewer and vice versa.

The series is cracking entertainment though and I'd recommend it to anyone - 8 episodes in total.

Makes a bit sense with life on mars, watched the first episode, good show. But with the Office? with Coupling? with a whole lot of movies, bahh dont get it

it's a fair enough point and definitely wasted on shows like Coupling. I was surprised the Office worked at all but they seemed to do a good job - difficult to top the Brentmeister General though.

Apparently there are high hopes for Life on Mars, it has even been mooted for a possible big screen version as well. Kudos can do no wrong at the moment!
