you thought your life sucks?

well, i am watching The Learning Channel, and there's a special on killer bees.

when they mate, the male injects the sperm into the queen, and their penis detaches.

then the male falls to the ground and dies.

well....at least the male dies happy.

Heh, well i guess they should join up with male Black Widows and Praying Mantis's and form a Union.

Still, how about being one of those many insects that only lives a day? :(

<< Are you SURE about that? >>

Well, if my diznick got ripped out - I'd probably drop to the ground and die as well. So I'd have to assume those bees have the same issues...

<< Now if only women had that power >>

You have a hard enough time trying to get us off the couch to do stuff now. If you took the hope of multiple sexul encounters away you would be worse off than you are now.

yeah i'm sure that the male falls to the ground and dies.

The Learning Channel said so!

plus, when the unit rips off, all their guts basically have been ripped out too.

so they die.
:(

The Black Widow's reputation is not totally justified. She will eat the male after mating only if she is hungry at that time and she has to mate only once since she stores sperm. Worthy of note is that the silk of the Black Widow spider is strongest amongst all arachnids. It can hold a small bird if it becomes entangled.

Uhm, I think that's just an urban legend the mating bees started to keep the other ones away :)
