Life just keeps getting worse for Afghans

<< we didnt have that attitude when we lost 2500 folks. :\ >>

Nor is that the attitude that most Americans will have regarding this. I doubt any other country is as quick as the US to aid in recovery from natural disasters.

On the plus side, the quake hit before the started rebuilding. It wou;d have really sucked if the rebuilt things just to have them fall over again.

But for some reason, the rest of the world chooses not to notice this.

its always sad when this type of thing happens. lets just hope that the quake crashed the roofs of some cave complexes and killed some who deserved like Al Qaeda

Their "folks" they lost were not killed by a bunch of freaking sand monkies in hijacked airplanes. :|

<< I just hope there were no US Troop casualties. >>

OMG, what a stupid comment that is, instead of thinking about the people living there, ur first concern is about the US troops 🙁 :|

That's anything but a stupid comment. As an American, my first concern is with our troops there. Deal with it.

<< Thousands more were reported injured, and an estimated 30,000 homes were destroyed in the remote region. >>

<< Many of the buildings that were destroyed in the earthquake were built in the same way structures had been erected over the last few centuries. >>

In other words....no big loss....they just need to dig a couple more caves....

And then Americans wonder why USA is thought be such a self-centered country.

As opposed to which other country? I don't know of any country that puts foreign citizen aheads of their own, esp. their armed forces. Can you name one?

just wait till the afgan winter comes..... then you will see how much the u.s is really 'helping' them.

the death counts will be tremendous once winter comes to afgan....they have no power, hardly any shelter, lack of food and water.

Whenever theres a natural disaster in another country, the first thought should go out to the citizens of that particular country. Or is it just that American lives are more precious than Afghan lives? If that is so, then I rest my case.

They are in the same hemisphere we are.....winter is over for them too. (It's officially spring - although it will still be cold for a while, the worst of the winter should be over for them.)
