Mammogram and ultrasound did not reveal anything abnormal. Went to get the biopsy result Tuesday. I was asked to join my wife and I knew it wasn't good news. Went in and saw my wife's eyes red with tears, and my heart just broke. On a positive note it's very early stage and it's very curable, but still... there's going to be surgery and a lot of treatments. It was such a shock, she's just 30, and we were planning to have baby later this year...

Going to do MRI later today. Still hoping for a miracle that the MRI finding shows no tumor. I can only pray. This is so hard, so devastating.

Not to sound like a douche, but if a Biopsy shows that its cancer, the MRI is probably not going to refute it.

But early stage cancer is pretty easy to treat. Good luck to you.

Just a question, if the mammogram and ultrasound was normal, what exactly did they biopsy?

I usually stay out of threads like this, but damn, that's terrible.

Can't say that I usually post in these types of threads either, but with all the lame threads lately like "Keep my GF in your thoughts, she sprained her ankle!" this one truely sucks.

My thoughts are with you man! Hope your wife gets better and is cancer free soon.

Good luck man. Be there for her...

You're lucky they caught it early. I've had 2 close family members go through it in the past year. It's not easy, but keep a positive outlook and tell her that worrying doesn't help anything. Doctors understand more now than they ever have and it's amazing how good they are about eliminating the cancer cells. You'll know more after they do a few more scans (CT or PET) to see how much there is.

Dr found lump. The conclusion from the mammo and ultrasound is that it's not cancerous, but the doctor wanted to confirm by doing a biopsy.

Glad it's early stage. Dr said it's very small and very unlikely will required chemo, but can't totally confirmed until MRI is taken. She's very scared.
