Why don't you mind your own business and not gawk?

it's human nature to be curious

However, in emergency situations, that can be dangerous. People tend to get in the way and impead progress.

I am part of our building emergency responce team, and I am joining an already going group consisting of all our volunteer fireman and EMTs.

Apparently a 19yr old girl hit 5 mailboxes and then hit a tree about a mile down the road. She's in pretty serious shape. Her left leg is completely crushed, and shes probably in shock. Their taking her to pittsburgh hospital, because the local just isnt equipped for this amount of trauma.

yeah, i mean its important not to interfere or be rubbernecking...

but as part of our emergency responce team,
if it had been an employee or customer of our office,
or something larger that might have forced an evacuation of our building, such as a fire at the plant down the street...

then its my responsibility to be informed and assist in any way possible.

I live right next to a hospital and right across from my apartment is a helipad for helicopters... The most helicopters in one day I've encountered have been 5. They fly right over my apartment before landing...

So yes, they are really loud.

They are ineed loud... there's a reason why the crew wears earmuffs. Oh, and they're fun to ride in too, but not if you're seriously injured I suppose...

Here in Jersey, the Flight Team is equipped with weapons. While the plane is landing, you have to be within sight of the pilot or you can be shot. And you have to follow their instructions to the dime or they have authority to fire. Straight up military precision.

If you're not within sight, how do they know to shoot you? Can't shoot what you can't see.
