Call me paranoid, but I'm going to school, hopefully by may to be coming out with a degree in advertising photography. However, I plan on coming out of school and going into opthalmic photography. I'll probably be working at a clinic or hospital, but I don't have any confidence in how much money I'll earn, nor do I know how much the average opthalmic photographer makes... so I guess I'm a little scared to step out into the real world.

Anyone know by any chance?

in case you do... I DO plan on going for my CRA certification after the required amount of time (2 years) of working in the field.

Eye photography?

The people I know who made a living off photography used other skills in design, marketing, layout etc... with photography at their day job doing things like web design, layout, technical writing etc... then did freelance photography evenings and weekends.

Wow, I haven't been there since I had to use it for my Econ class last year. Actually, that's pretty useful. My field's mean is about $31 where I live. Not too shabby.

I'm going to college classes for to keep my brain sharp, I'm probably going to major in finance or psychology; I'm already a computer consultant making a fair amount, I'm starting a businessess at the moment and I'm a FOREX speculator. I think going to college with the sole intention of getting a degree to get a job is kinda stupid. Who wants to be a cog in a wheel?
