Not a good reason to come unless you have money. ;)

Are American girls gold diggers? Yuck. Sick of girls like that.

But i heard its hard to get a "green card" Is that what you need to work? I heard that mexican folk dont have one.

waiting.. arent u from cananda?
just walk thru to america at unguarded border point (and 99% of canada/usa border is unguarded)

as for jobs, put up an ad in CraigsList in whatever city your visiting for electrician or plumbing.
rinse/repeat for each city you're going. be a traveler

How does it work? Have you done it before?

I haven't but one of my friends just got back from 1 year in New Zealand. You basically just apply to the country's immigration office or whatever, pay them $100 or so, then they let you live and work in the country for up to 1 or 2 years.

Every country is different though, and I know nothing about the USA's rules.

For some reason we don't believe in working holidays. link. Granted the chart is a few years old, but I doubt much has changed.

I'm not really sure how easy something like that would be. A quick google search and I found this place. Seems as good a starting point as any, although it doesn't paint a pretty picture.

Hrm, maybe a J-1 visa?

LOL and you want to find hot women in America LOL:biggrin:
poor misguided foreigners :)

Best way to get a work visa is to get one through an employer. So you have to have a job lined up and they have to want you bad enough to get you a visa and a fat bureaucrat has to agree to it. I was dating a girl from Canada for 2 year her employer closed down and she couldn't get another one and had to move back home.

Do they give work visas to common laborers?
I thought it was in a specialty field and only if you had a "sponsor" employer?

Dude just get out and date...changing countries is hardly worth it over a break up.

If you are serious, you usually need an employer to sponsor you. If you plan to work illegally, you will more than likely not be able to open a bank account and rent any decent place anyway.

If you are Canadian it's easier and there are a lot of web sites on this.

Fly to Mexico on a tourist visa...sneak into the USA.

Sneaking across the border must work well...we have something like 12,000,000 illegal immigrants here...most of them crossed through Mexico.
