How is life after graduation? Is it better, or worse? Lets not talk about jobs or anything, but do you guys find yourself less stressed and having more fun?

I like it better...

At first when you first graduate if you don't have a job lined up it's kind of weird because normally when you sit aroudn on your ass and do nothing it's cool because you know you're goin back to school. When you're done it's kind of like well maybe I should be trying to do something. After you get a job it's awesome though. It's like I do my work at work then go home and do wahtever I want. That and you're not really worried about money anymore...

Well, i was told something the other day that made me realize something:

"You always say you'll do something when you are less busy in life, and well, your life will never get less busy you will just learn to manage your time better"

Which is more then true, i graduate in april, have been working 60hrs a week, school full time, and flight lessons and was looking forward to settling down after i graduate. Well, I've gotten two great job offers, both will deman alot of my time, and I will be continuing heavily into my flight lessons. So...just plan to be real busy? :)

I'd say less fun. For me the party is defiantly over. I find I socialize much less now that I'm out of college, you know when your in school there's always someone you sort of know throwing a party or something and you have those friends you kind of hang out with at school...their in no way you best friends but people to hang out with. Well all that's gone for me, all the people I knew in college who I wasn't like best friends with I don't talk to anymore...just drifted apart and fast. And as far as my good friends go we all hang out much less now too, we have other responsibilities. In school I'd go out 3 or 4 times a week but now I'm I'll go out maybe once a week. It defiantly takes some getting used too.

The other thing is whereas you can drink 3 or 4 nights a week in school you try to limit it to like a thursday friday and saturday while you're working as you have to be up at 8 the next day. I feel like I also have less time to hangout with my old college crew and am hanging out with the kids I went to high school with again. Just not really enough time to hangout with everyone...

Isn't that weird hanging out with the old highschool crew, I find that they are graduated also and back living at home with their parents (I do that untill I can save some cash). It's weird I see them all the time at the bars and and around town.

Not really. During the summers and breaks I'd basically ditch all my college friends and hangout with my high school boys. We'd always just start back up where we left off and have traditions like betting on dogs, hitting the same place to watch the national championship, drunken golf, drinking 40's and making videos. Now it's more like we go out to clubs but we still all gather at one guy's house and drink 40's even though we can all afford better. I don't know...it's still a good time. No one's married or even thinking about marriage. We're basically the same only now we're financed.

CrazyDe1, I see it's different for me. all the people for HS I'm reconnecting with are people I haven't seen in years.

Having been on both sides, I like life after school better. It's generally more monotonous, but you get paid and don't have to worry about the next exam or project. It frees up your time to get some SERIOUS playing done :)

I guess I just like having no obligations after I'm done with work. At least the way I was I'd always procrastinate and wait till the last minute to do assignments. There'd be huge assignments that I'd sit there and think damn I have to do this. I guess it was just the constant feeling in my head that I had something I needed to get done that I wasn't.

Yeah, seriously. If I hear one more old person tell me to enjoy college while I can, I think I just might have to shoot them.

Lol I'm sure it depends on the major and how funded a persons college career was. If you're getting a free ride from your parents or something or have an easy major they might be right.
