Yoplait has this commercial about how if you send a pink top in from their yogurt, they will donate ten cents to a breast cancer foundation.

The commercial shows a girl licking a stamp, and another licking a pink yogurt top and putting it in an envelope, while the narrator urges you to send all of your tops in.

So why pay 37 cents plus waste an envelope to donate only ten cents? You could be really generous and donate an entire dollar instead of buying their crappy yogurt instead.
 
i enjoy to see people fall for this stuff. if they're stupid enough to fall for it they probably wouldn't mind losing a few dimes.
 
yea the whole lid thing is stupid, they could just find out how many are sold from the supermarkets and base donations off that.

I was thinking along the lines of "I'm all up for licking breast cancer, as long as the patient enjoys it." Then I read the thread.

But, um, yeah... just stuff all the lids in one envelope. I know that most people buy more than one thing of yogurt at a time.
