license plate frame for my school costs $35

OS

Lifer
I got my BSEE from Cal Poly Pomona and I wanted to get an alumni license plate frame, but my school bookstore wants 35 bucks for one. My school was fine and all, but it seems messed up that I basically end up paying almost 40 bucks to pimp my own school. Is there anywhere else to get these things?

LOL, my cousin is a mechnical engineer at Boeing, maybe I'll ask him to custom mill one for me since he has access to machine shops and stuff. 😀

Better yet, I have a chemical engineer friend who fabs carbon fiber parts all day, maybe I'll get a carbon fiber license plate frame, hahahaha. 😀

Have him make one out for me 😉

with Rutgers 😀

you know, I saw a caddy CTS driving around my work area with the exact one I want today. I should figure out where this guy works at. 😀

Actually I remembered I know someone who works in the bookstore, I'll hit him up for a discount or something. The thing is, he's just a peon there so I dunno if he can really do anything for me. :\

Why would you want to pimp you school and pay for it? I'm always interested in the psychology behind such decisions.. BTW- CPSLO here and it was around $40 too and sweatshirts ran upwards of $50.

Great Convo starter i think.

Lets say you see a chick that went to this and this school, you can start up a convo about blah blah school then introduce yourself for something.

Some chick can see the plates at a parking lot and say she also attended blah blah and start a convo etc..

yesterday while driving to work, I had a short drag race against this girl who had a cal poly pomona alumni license plate. It would have been nice if I had one also so that she could see she got burned by a fellow alumni. 😀
