I got my plates for my new 2003 hond accord car today. How long can i wait before i have to put them on. I am in los angeles. Also if i don't put them on and get pulled over by a cop 6 month after i received the plates how much will the fine be for not having the plates on ?

photo cameras, and also its much easier to avoid getting a parking ticket for stopping were there is no stopping sign as they can't just write down your plate and send it to you in the mail

Uh... yeah, like everyone else said... why don't you want to put your plates on? My guess is that once your temporary plates expire (not sure how it works in California) you'd have to put the real plates on... By the way, how did it go with the movie being filmed near your house today? Did you do anything stupid to piss them off? Apparantly you didn't do anything to get yourself arrested.

I think the chances of you posting here again about you getting busted with your car is pretty good.
Keep up the good intention, you will definately be a good contributor to traffic safety.

Wow... how about you just obey the law or accept the consequences? Or get one of your high-priced attorneys from when you lived in Beverly Hills... wait, you lived in Beverly Hills and you're worried about a parking ticket? Hmmmm...

Edit: On second thought, go ahead and drive around without your plates. I'm sure it wont' take long for you to get pulled over and get a ticket. When the cop asks you why you have no plates, just tell him it's because you want to avoid getting tickets for running red lights and such.

someone is making a spray can of stuff that makes you plate fuzzy in the camera pic and
it seems like a parking ticket would be better than whatever they do about driving with
illegal,expired,wrong plates.

Slap the plates on and get some of those license plate covers that blurs out the letters at a 30 degree angle.

Assuming it's legal in CA; but even if it isn't you don't seem like the kind of guy who cares about the law, so I say go for it!

No, he isn't... recently he posted that driving is not fun unless you are going extremely fast and weaving in and out of traffic. He also advised a guy to floor it when he came to a 6" deep puddle because "traction control" will compensate for the hydroplaning. :) Ylen13 seems to be on about the same level as Wundugwhatever, except recently Wundug's posts have been making sense...

i may be wealthy but it don't mean i want to speend money on stuff that i don't have to. The spray don't work as far as i know and as for the plate cover going to look in to it

May I ask what you do for a living (and how old you are)?
Edit: If you don't want to spend money on stuff that you don't have to, why not just obey the law rather than trying to circumvent it? Stop at red lights, don't park where you're not allowed to...

Don't worry about having new plates on your car, I've seen people that drew their numbers on a piece of cardboard and taped it to their car. You got a 2003 you say? I suggest using a slab of metal instead, or since you are wealthy, have someone engrave your plate #s on a chunk of gold.

Pretty soon he is gonna be arrested for driving around without license plates and then telling the officer that he didnot put em on so that he could avoid moving violations via camera and parking tickets.

As far as the original post ... d00d ... just put the damn plates on and if U drive safely then U don't have to worry about traffic tickets anyways. Dunno if U can read English or not, so U might get a parking ticket if U park illegally. ;-)

Umm, you have to have the paper in your rear window anyways, and if not then you'll just get towed...
