Has anyone installed the 64 bit version of LibreOffice V5? How does it handle memory compared to the 32 bit version? Anything worth noting in the upgrade? Not looking for rating comparisons to Office or Google docs, but only to LO v4x. The Cloud (oh my!) is not important to me.

I am running W7 HP SP1 with 4 gig RAM on a 5 year old laptop. I do have an SSD drive.

If you aren't using HUGE documents or spreadsheets, then using a 64-bit office suite, whether it's LO or MS Office, really isn't necessary.

Why does everybody always get caught up on the bigger address space of 64-bit processes. There are other reasons as well such as the possibility to have HEASLR and always on DEP (better security).

If you have a 64-bit version of Windows I don't see why you shouldn't be using a 64-bit version of Office or LibreOffice.

Because Microsoft is recommending that you should install 32-bit versions:

"We recommend the 32-bit version of Office for most users, because it's more compatible with most other applications, especially third-party add-ins."
