murray rothbard was one of the smartest people ever. thomas wilson, a "bulwark of progressivism" and one of the most statist Presidents ever, on the other hand, was pretty intellectually shallow.

and i know it's against the rules to call out individual AT members, but i am going to do it anyway to "argue the point" and because modern liberal brycejones pisses me off... he actually thinks that psychiatry can help me. he tells me i need "professional help" without it even occurring to himself that i have been to every psychiatrist in town and that none of them could help me. then we have modern liberal First who claim to be smart (or at least are quick to call me stupid), but then they support the welfare state including shit like obamacare. if they are so smart, then they dont need the welfare State... it is against their own best interests yet they support it so they probably arent smart. and then the modernly liberal governor of virginia strongly supports legislated restrictions on physician assisted suicide... he has nothing to gain from doing so, but he is so dense that he does it anyway

i am the only dumb libertarian you will ever find

so why do so many people remain modern liberals or say that "libertarianism doesnt work" when the smartest figures throughout history (e.g., john carmack, john locke, thomas jefferson) have been libertarian/classical liberal?

OP I am really sorry you feel the way you do about your life. Instead of giving up you should keep fighting for something better. I truly hope you find it someday.

There's only one difference between hard core libertarians and hard core communists. With communism everybody ends up poor and miserable. With libertarianism everyone ends up poor and miserable except the one guy who owns it all. You have to be deluded to be all the way left or right.
 
You are absolutely right that everything is fucked up Anarchist.

What you are fighting is only (and I say, only) Government and Religion. Two very hard things to fight.

I hope you don't get too depressed in fighting them, as we need people like you.
