Actually, kudos to Audi for the creative ad.

But face it, there are a lot of liberals in the "Green" movement who totally got off at their depiction of "Green Police".

Admit it, who here was like, "Yeah! Way-to-go! Arrest 'em!"?

Come on, you know you can admit it!

You could say that about any ad with a decent sense of humor. I ask you this: is it a bad thing to make Earth inhabitable longer?

The ad is fucking ridiculous and your post is even more ridiculous, because you are actually taking it seriously. I take your insipidness seriously, but that's because you're a moron who is basing his life on destroying the progressive nature of life on life's terms. Fuck you man, you aren't a God. You aren't even a deity. The green movement is just HUMANS who want to make a nice home for themselves and their offspring. Anyone who is against that is a self-destructive degenerate fuckface*.

*not that I don't buy cases of bottled water or Tide detergent. I also don't give a fuck if I wash my hands too much. The fucking stupid ass farmers are the ones who use the most water, and drug and chemical companies are making the pollution in the water. It all ends up in the sewer, then eventually in the ocean. But, you don't see me out at the beaches picking up trash or saving the oil-covered birds. Just don't say it's a bad thing to help a good cause 'cause you look like a fucking ignorant dumbfuck.

I am against the Green movement.

My biggest issue with the movement is the emphasis on conservation. The technology promoted by the “Greens” is not viable. Wind, solar and fuel made from garden products will not sustain the American lifestyle.

Disingenuous reference to Nuclear, in the movement, is strictly a bone thrown out in an attempt to win my favor. If you are serious about Nuclear, then count me in.

I’ve got to see results first. Immediately begin a National program to build 200 Nuclear power plants across the US.

:awe:

I would advocate the suspension of NRC regulations and adapt the ISO 9000 standards which would make the building of these plants commercially viable.

Unless you are a professional in the energy industry, then I absolutely don't give a god damned molecule of poop what your opinion is. You most likely latch on to one negligible term like a big, fat, spoiled, bald, crying baby. It's a marketing scheme. The majority of the public is not informed and not intelligent enough / willing to spend the time to find out the facts for themselves. Every advertisement and packaging design on anything from cars to food seasonings is a "bone thrown out in an attempt to win my favor".

Are you even sure 9000 is the ISO standard relevant to this issue???

Very well.

Here's another one, anyway.

You better expand your garden. We are going to need plenty of bio diesel in the coming years to run the snowplows.

That is, unless you can propose a solution to the nagging evil of the internal combustion engine! Wind or solar?

What "american lifestlye" are you refering to?

Driving a 6 mpg Hummer, running a hundred 1,000 incandescent flood lights to light up your Republican 4,000 sq ft McMansion?

Is that what the commercial depicts greens attacking?

No, you would go far beyond banning Hummers and McMansions.

These policies are anti-human, not anti-rich as you would suggest. If you want to argue the point I refer you over to regulation of cow emissions. Are you going to stand here and tell us only those evil rich people eat meat?

I'm talking about police cars, fire engines, construction equipment, air craft and snowplows that run on portable fuel. That portable fuel is petroleum based.

How many machines powered by electricity were used to remove the snow from DC recently?

How many machines rebuilding New Orleans are powered by wind or solar? :\

The "green" movement has a lot of explaining to do to win my support. I'm not saying that my support won't be given. I need evidence that real solutions are in play. Silly dreamland theory emanating from the halls of academe won't cut it.

Yeah, it looks like he's got a couple of accounts going. I've been resisting but think I may start taking advantage of the block feature.

Sadly it isn't isolated to just one user imo. The past year there seems to have been a huge fire sale on sock puppet accounts. Makes you wonder who folks like Riprorin, Pabster, HeartSurgeon, etc. are posting regularly as today.

Is being concerned about polluting a liberal vs conservative issue. If I understand what this thread is about, liberals are against polluting so that means conservatives are for it?

This is not about pollution. This is about the production of petroleum based energy products vs. wind, solar and plant based products. Conservatives have never bought the junk science put out by Global Warming believers. :(

Have you read the news lately The scientist instrumental in data collecting for the movement has admitted it was all a hoax. :\

It's time to stop this silliness and get back to producing the massive quantities of energy this successful Nation demands.:)

Not Enough is the only answer. A new born civilization has only a short time to develope a post-fossil fuel economy.

If that's the lifestyle some americans chose, then it's their goddamn right to do so, fuck the green nazis. And while you're at it, let's not forget about the "carbon footprint" of Algore with his multiple mansions and flying around on a private jet.

I love the idea of another 200 nuclear plants. Not so much the idea of suspending NRC regs. Nuclear energy is like the penis in porn - I'm okay with it being there, but I don't want to actually see it in action.

Conservation is always good though. Using less energy means your overhead is less and, like POU solar, also means less need for expanding the grid. I just don't agree with the other greenies that conservation can play as big a part in overall energy needs as can 200 nuclear plants. I would however love to see stimulus money going to improve energy efficiency, especially in government buildings as it will reduce their appetite in the future and thus free up money and energy for more productive uses.
