rofl...lol somehow I knew you'd say something like that rofl

I'd have to say that we (conservatives) have less stress because we're not trying to think of ways to ruin this country and to start a socialist regime in america :) ;)
And what would be the start of a socialist regime include?

What programs or policies would we see in this new regime?

Conservatives have less brain activity?

QFT. I venture to say it is because of their religious beliefs. When you're told what to think, it saves a lot of brain activity.

You're going to have a hard time convincing me that a survey with a pool of only 234 people, all geographically co-located in Berkeley of all places, is scientifically meaningful, even if its results are mildly entertaining.

oh the irony, the left says the right is "told what to think"

yet the basis of all thier arguments is that they "know better" and you should "let the govt take over this... and that..... and eventually everything"

Actually, she notes this in her paper. She doesn't call it a definitive study. It's just a little thing one side can poke the other with. Kinda funny actually.

Actually, under your "conservative" man-god, the United States Government took over Iraq and Afghanistan, with stunning results. It also "knew better" and gave the big pharmaceuticals a massive gift. Good show!

Er, maybe the right USED to be the ideology of personal responsibility and individual decisions, but they aren't any more.

That was my thought as well. And as for the results, I would expect the opposition side can be expected to act differently than the side in control. I don't buy these results with any certainty, but I wouldn't be surprised either.

heh, Actually, I might have been a tad happier back then. I was young, single, and the only politics I really cared about were wether or not my hometown could raise enough money to build a new ball park. I disliked Clinton a little bit, but not enough to lose any sleep over, I actually liked a few of the things he did. Not like the Bush Bashers of today, I kinda feel sorry for them, thier lives must be a living hell the way they view the world.

That is true for me aswell. I find it funny conservatives had nightmares when Clinton was president and now liberals are having nightmares with Bush president.

As for the Bush Bashers, these guys are over the top funny. I remember bashing Clinton enough but the level of pure hatred is unparallel.

The "extreme righties" on this forum are just as hateful as the extreme lefties if we're being honest with ourselves.

This right here exemplifies the simplicity of the brains of the common neo-con on here. You can only see it in black and white. Democrat and Republican. You think some of us bash Bush just because he's Republican or something? How about some of us who actually bash with a reason other than the fact he's on the right? Or you can't seem to accept that in the simplified world you guys live in. In your world, americans only tow their own party lines.

very interesting.

This study examines the dreams of American liberals and conservatives in order to highlight patterns that might correlate with their opposing political views. A total of 234 participants (134 self-described liberals, 100 self-described conservatives) completed a lengthy sleep and dream survey, and their answers revealed several notable patterns:

The liberals and conservatives in this study are not radically different species, at least when it comes to sleep and dreaming. People of both political persuasions share a common substrate of basic human sleep and dream experience.

Conservatives sleep more soundly, with fewer dreams. Liberals have more restless sleep and a more active dream life. Conservatives sleep somewhat longer, with better sleep quality; they recall fewer dreams, but report more lucid dreams (especially conservative men). Liberals (particularly liberal women) have worse sleep quality, recall a greater number and variety of dreams, and have more dreams of homosexuality.

Liberals and conservatives report a roughly equal proportion of bad dreams and nightmares. This is different from my earlier study (using dreams gathered from 1996-2000), when the conservatives had many more nightmarish dreams than the liberals. In the present study (using dreams gathered post-September 11, 2001 to the end of 2004), the conservative frequency of negative dreams is somewhat less, while the liberal frequency is much higher. It appears liberals have become more upset and troubled in their dreams, while conservatives have become less so in theirs.

The dreams of liberals are more bizarre than the dreams of conservatives. This is consistent with my earlier findings. Liberals have more dreams with unusual, distorted, fantastic elements than conservatives, whose dreams are more likely to portray normal characters, settings, and activities.

The similarities and differences identified here may be artifacts of my study?s small sample size. Only future research can determine that. In the meantime, any interpretation remains provisional. With that caution in mind, if we follow the research premise that dream content is continuous with waking life emotional concerns, the results of this study may be interpreted as follows: These dreams provide an accurate reflection of contemporary American politics. The current political weakness of liberals (especially liberal women) is reflected in their troubled sleep and varied, agitated dreaming. The current political strength of conservatives (especially conservative men) is reflected in their sounder sleep and diminished frequency and variation of dreaming.

When we are young, we wish our dreams will come true. When we get older, we hope our nightmares won't!

They way they act on this forum, I don't feel sorry for them at all.

Did you answer their DS question in the other thread about our formal schooling? I started to tell them that I was trying to learn to read and studying nights. And they wonder why they are losing at every turn!

I don't think so. I realize an internet forum is hardly the best place for reading people, but some of the conservative posters here seem pretty angry to me. I read some of those posts picturing spittle spraying all over the screen. While I'm sure a "total lack of respect" is there as well (and equally moronic if you ask me), some people just sound far too angry for that to the be the only emotion there.

You confuse brusque with angry. We are typing for goodness sake. How many words does it take to express a thought? Many of us just don?t like to blather on endlessly.

??? I'm not saying the short posts indicate anger, I'm talking about the language. "fvcking cowards who hate America" and such. The righties are just as bad as the lefties in this regard on here.

LOL, the Neo Conservatives sleep better because they are exhausted by days end worrying about non existent Liberal Conspiracies to take away the powers they've gained by hook and crook:laugh:

Liberals on the other hand should sleep better because by days end they are to stoned to stay awake.

There's a direct correlation between the # of angry red faces used and whether or not the guy you voted for is in office or not. Currently it's Democrats who need the bib, but pre-Bush it was the other way around.
