Here is just another example of the "liberal media" doing a hatchet job on GWB:
If Clinton had done this, republicans would have accused him of having something to hide.

Basically, the guy holds a state dinner and only Brit Hume from the FOX network (oh isn't THAT shocking--NOT!!) represented the media. In other words..."lets have a state dinner and not bring in anybody who could look at what is going on and report back objectively."

The Chicago Tribune, one of those "liberal media" outlets, seems to have no trouble in making this little, intimate (almost secret) gathering into, at best a non-story, and at worse, an example of how the media is gushing over this little twerp of a president.

<< "The Bushes' first state dinner is the reopening of the social season here, and it will set the tone that smaller is better, and more elegant. I think Washingtonians are tired of big parties, especially in these economic times." >>

Oh dubya, I bet your wallet is near empty! heh.

Big fscking deal. So President Bush doesn't want to waste as much of the taxpayers' money by having 700 guests as opposed to less than 150? Bully for him. So the press isn't invited? Boo hoo hoo.

Clinton liked to bask in his own glory and invited the world to share it with him. That's not the role of the President. It's good to see some dignity back in the White House, isn't it?
