Mind of Mencia: Republicans are racist, Mccain is Old
The Daily Show: McCain is Old, Hillary has no chance and is pathetic
Colbert: McCain is Old, Hillary has no chance and is pathetic.

Seriously, to get a show on Comedy Central, do they take the performer into a secret room surrorunded by candles shaped like Bush and cut their right hand, swear an oath to uphold liberalism and then go out and perform an abortion to secure their contract?

That channel is so biased for liberalism it's not funny.

A mind biased for neoconism is why the comedy is not funny. Truth hurts.

How come the left doesn't take that advice when it comes to Fox News?

How about you take your own advice and stay on topic? Thanks.

It is on topic. Fox News is funny. Totally unintentionally, but often very funny. Last week blogger and frequent O'Reilly guest Michelle Malkin started an internet uproar that spilled into trw forcing a major corporation to pull an ad because a cooking show host hocking iced coffee wore a scarf. That's a riot in my book.

Fair enough, Fox news is funny, but not in PJ's mind :p

Because CC's entire premise is that their shows are put-ons, while Faux pretends to be a real news outlet.

According to Colbert, "reality has a well-known liberal bias".

And last time I checked, Hillary was a liberal.

There is a funny right-wing comic, Jackie Mason.

hehe, oh man, you should apply to the show.

Yeah, "hehe", if it is funny to you, your lack of a capability to actually present a real debate while resorting each and every time into adhominum defense tactics does your side no good, except for those of who are as indoctrinated as you and go along with "the joke" whatever that may be.

The other thing that is totally obvious is that McCain and Hillary, stiff aged politicians, are way way easier to make fun of then Obama is. The Daily Show makes fun of those who are in power. Why don't you go back into their archives and see how much airtime they devoted to making fun of Clinton when he was president? (hint: a lot)

It's fair to say that they've made more fun of Bush then they did of Clinton, but jesus christ who hasn't? (and they still got Clinton plenty) Those guys are simply a non stop gold mine of things to make fun of... and Clinton at his worst never came anywhere close to the amount of pigfuckery that Bush and Cheney have visited upon the world.

Going back to your previous post about Mccain's age, yeah he'd old, how is that a bad thing if he is in good shape? It is nothing but a good thing yet still the left wing entertainment media constantly portrays him as a demented old man who just today stayed up past 7pm for the first time this year or something like that.

I understand political humor and i've witnessed clinton get reamed a lot but just watch the divide that will present itself on shows like the daily show when they portray McCain and Obama. As he was tonight, I have no doubt that Obama will get handled with kid gloves and even when they do crack a joke it's always in some cleverly good way.

Quick:

1.) Think of a funny joke about a photogenic 46 year old guy.

2.) Think of a funny joke about a wrinkly 71 year old man.

After you've finished these two exercises tell me which one you found easier.

For me it has nothing to do with which joke is easier - it's that there is a lot of horrible shit perpetrated by a lot of horrible people, and to skewer them comedically is unfortunately the only way to engage young people and the public at large in any sort of dialog on the subject.

I watch because yes, I agree with the politics and it's nice to know that there is a some segment of the population that 'gets it' and isn't an evil pig fvcker like all republicans, most democrats, and an unfortunate percentage of my countrymen. Wait, did I just reveal my bias?

Kind of. However, libertarians want nothing to do with Bush/McCain-supporting, religious fundamentalists like the OP.

what is it with the bird-brains and their "lib" labels?

Liberalism isn't a belief system, for most people. People think and act the way they do, and old people like to assign that behavior the meaningless label of "liberal". The word liberal has virtually no meaning whatsover. The target audience for those shows (younger, educated people with money to spend) tend to think in a way that some people define as "liberal". Some of you act as tho there's some vast liberal conspiracy that exists...too funny.

sorry but this is like complaining that espn shows too much sports shows and not enough soap operas.

If their is an audience for political comedy then you are GOING to GET political comedy.

Until people stop tuning into the comedy then the stations will keep showing it.

Don't be mad about it.

And don't think for once that libruls are indoctrinating the young by the librul media...

thats what we have those librul educators and the libbie commie professors for!

I'm not about to write my senator to change the laws. I like political comedy myself but what nobody has even attempted to deny yet is that comedy central is extremely biased in favor of the Democratic party.

Aren't they allowed to be? lol stop crying to us and turn the channel. There is this thing called the free-market that conservatives supposedly believe in(but really don't). So get all of your friends to stop watching and if you get enough nutcases together to boycott and viacom loses enough money, you'll get your wish.

Hey dude, i didn't say i was about to go pickett outside their offices. All i did was point out the FACT that Comedy Central is biased towards the left. Most of you have gone into fits of rage or flippant laughter. The most intelligent thing i've seen so far is that maybe political comedy as a whole is more liberal.

Grown ups have jobs.

The idea that you are an adult and still have these opinions and write this way makes this entire thread so much more awesome. I was thinking you were an angry right wing teenager who had just gotten to college and was angry that everyone was watching the 'liberal comedy shows'.

Eskimospy, you are a perfect example of the byproduct of the liberal entertainment industry. You see someone who disagrees with you and are literally astonished because all the tripe you've watched on shows like Comedy Central have led you to believe that conservatives or "religious nuts" are nothing but fairy tales.

Get a clue, there's a bigger world out there than just the left-wing viewpoint.

If by "point out the FACT" you mean whine like a little girl, then yes, I suppose that IS what you did.

Look, complain, don't complain...no skin off my back either way. But at least have the stones to stand behind your whining...this "I was just pointing out a fact" nonsense when you get called on what you say is just silly.

This coming from the guy who is pissed off because a comedy show that makes no promises of being un-biased displays a political bias he doesn't agree with? Seriously...someone needs to hit you with the irony bat or something...

I can't believe you actually used 'byproduct of the liberal entertainment industry' as a serious argument. Even better was when you then told me to go out and experience the real world. In case you haven't noticed, myself and others haven't been trashing your arguments because they deviate from our precious leftist viewpoints, we've been trashing them because they're dumb.

You're genuinely trying to argue that a comedy show should make fun of all people equally. (or more equally) As a counterpoint I would like to say that it has been way more simple in this thread to make fun of you then anyone else. Should we have to go find some other guy to tease for no good reason just because you've made it so easy for us?

As for your weird idea that I'm some sort of sheltered liberal or whatever, get over yourself. I've lived all over America and I've traveled all over the world. It's a pretty safe bet that I know a hell of a lot more about 'the bigger world' then you ever will. (oh, and what is up with this religious crap you keep trying to bring into this? Nobody cares if you're a christian or not, I know the persecution viewpoint is an important thing to you... but seriously nobody cares.)

The reason I responded to him was because he made it sound like I wanted CC shut down over their political viewpoints.

You don't agree it's biased to the left where it constantly portrays liberals positively and conservatives negatively?

Man, this guy should get a job writing for Colbert. This stuff is so crazy, you have to take it as comedy.

The problem with your posts is that each time you've responded to something i've written instead of presenting a real argument, you just resort to some flippant humor where you laugh like it's assumed that the joke has been made. You're no better than a racist KKK member who see's a black guy and tells the guy next to him that "he should be lynched amirite?", assuming the guy is as racist as he is.
