There's a new lian li PC-6070 coming out in the next few weeks and it suppose to be super quiet. What is everyones impression of this case? I think it looks better than the antec sonata and I think it will be quieter as well. I am concerned about the insulation raising the internal temps though. I think I saw it for 165 at some web site.

See it here, and here, and review here.

Nice looking case but what's with the THREE 3.5 in bays? Did someone forget to tell Lian Li that floppy drives are obsolete? There should only be one of those bays and then more room for hard drives.

Also, the cooling doesn't look very good (no intake in front, just a very small one on bottom), and I don't see anything about it that would make it particulary quiet. Shoulda used a 120mm fan.

I won't buy a Lian Li case until they get front Firewire.

Lian Li cases ROCK!!

I don't have firewire....I use usb 2.0.

I don't think any manufacturer can touch Lian Li as far as quality and design.

From my experience, Coolermaster is superior in both.

yeah I've owned both, and while IMO lian Li's are more modder friendly, the coolermaster cases are better overall. Both offer great cases though.

I think it looks pretty cool, the article mentions that it can be found for about $160 but I cannot find anywhere that has it for sale. Has anyone found it yet?

I sent Lian Li an email asking for a ETA but I forgot to tell them where I was located  I'll post again when they get back to me.

what's to stop you from putting hdd's in those 3.5" bays? nothing!! :) just gives more flexibility, imo. i'm going to put a flash-card reader in one of them.

the sound insulation is effectively heat insulation too. kinda negates any "benefits" from an aluminum case. the truth comes out . . . it's all about style!! :D

Not bad, but if its meant to be quiet, why do they have such restrictive grills for the fans?? Replace those awful stamped grills and replace them with fine wire and you'll reduce the turbulence by quite a bit,.

Hey I was looking at cases, and I was wondering if anyone has ever seen this case b4 or knows if it's a clone brand or something, It looks like a good deal, 89 dollarws for a aluminum case with high gloss finish, USB2 and Fireware. Anyways I was just wondering if anyone knew anything bout this case here's a link http://www.ocsystem.com/ocdiwasu10to.html

This case appears to be a PC-6X series case with Dynamatting on the one side panel, no blowhole, a restrictive front air intake, and a front swing panel. Technically wouldn't a steel case be quieter to begin with?

The same reason stock cars usually have a highly restrictive intake. Restrictive means quieter often times.
