Here is my Lian-Li build....all the components are in the sig.

There were some minor changes I'll explain as I go along....tell me what you think.

Here is the case with nothing in it. It is a v1000b Plus II with side window.

I had several holes cut into the case to route the wires more efficiently....(3) on the top for the USB, IEEE, and SATA cables. There is a cut right in the middle so I could route the cables under the board and behind the case. Two more holes on the bottom right for fan wires, etc and one more hole on the bottom right that was going to be for the PSU but ran into some trouble with that. I am going to upgrade my PSU in the future so that hole will come into play later on....for now I had to make due with what I had.

I had everything in temporarily when I ran into a problem where the 18" SATA cables would not totally reach the HDDs. The one drive was ok but the 2nd drive was really stretched. I quickly ordered (2) 24" SATA cables (installed them today).

Here are 2 temporary pictures of it all setup before I ran tests to make sure everything was hooked up correctly.

Here is the reverse side of the case where all the wires are being hid. As you can probably see the SATA cables are being stretched to their limits to reach the bottom HDDs.

Finally today I got the 24" SATA cables, took out the old ones and re-routed the new ones. I also cleaned them up a bit to be more streamlined.

Here is a shot of the holes on the bottom right hand side of the case where I was able to route the 4 pin PSU cable as well as the audio cables and PSU fan.

Here is a cleaned up shot of the interior without the 120mm fan, blower and video card in the way.

Now with the video card installed

And with all the case parts installed. As you can see that PSU cable is an eye sore but with the side panel on it is not noticeable and plus its only temporary.

Finally with the panels on and a frontal view

aah, nice case (nicer than my PC-60)..
I don't care about the windows, I don't know why they even bother putting a window there

I feel the urge to remove that fan on top of the VGA & the fan deflector :p

I hear isoprophyl alcohol works great. Denatured would also be a good choice. Pretty much any form of alcohol.

i have the same case .. i use this solution called "Endust" for electronics.. cleans my case very nicely giving it that new car tire shine. it comes in a 8oz blue bottle and i got mine for $3.69. i also used it to clean my keyboard, mice, and monitor border. otherside rubbing alcohol should be fine

link is no good, but from that website, when u search "endust" its the second item on the list. cable managment is good with all the modifications to your case

I think you mounted your HSF wrong way. Isn't the fan in the back intake?

Oh wait. I've never used the Freezer 64 so not sure if the fan blowing onto the heatsink or the other way around. Maybe you did it right. Below is the correct airflow in any case.

(Hot air)<------- (Fresh air)
<-------- HSF <------------ Case fan

Nice and clean,

Im thinkin about buying this case, but im wondering about the upside down position of the motherboard. Specifically motherboards with heatpipe cooling solutions on them, does urs run hotter , is there any affect at all? thanks.

If it helps, my A8N32-SLI at work is mounted upside down in a PC-101B at work and it is running at about 46 idle and 50-load

On the other hand, my A8N32-SLI at home is mounted right side up and runs from 44-48 idle-load, however that case has about two-three times more airflow than the PC-101B (albeit in a much lower quality case)

Because heat pipes rely more on wicks than gravity to transfer the coolant, direction shouldnt matter in a good heatpipe. Think about a heat pipe cooler like the CNPS 9500. The pipes when installed run like an S horizontally. If you were relying on gravity, you would just have a pool of coolant at the bottom of each loop and nothing happening.

I've got the PC-201, basically a full tower version with a front door.

I found out that my cooling worked better with the fans reversed. I now have the side fan over the video card blowing in, directly onto my VC, and then my CPU HS fan (Tuniq Tower) blows towards the rear fan, which also blows out. This way both fans are working together.

Just a thought...you might want to try both ways and see which set of temps are better.

And I took of the rear duct thingie, since is was just in the way of my HS.

the holes were cut by performance-pcs.com and they provided the grommets as well.

thanks for the comments everyone. I been really busy lately (just moved into my first home) so I havent had that much time to play around with the case. It really is worth the money....the freezer 64 is really quiet as is the whole case in general

it looks pretty good to me. i have the v1200 and the same mobo. i removed the heatpipe and added a vanec iceberq cooler along with an asus heatsink since the system was locking up when using the heatpipe. i have some new cables and other toys ordered from performance-pcs. when i'm done rewiring things, maybe i'll post a few pics of mine. anyway, your system looks great. isn't the service great at performance-pcs? hank and his crew are the best.

hey thanks for the reply. id love to see what your setup looks like with the heatpipe removed. performance-pcs was great....i sent them over a pic of what I wanted done to the case and they were able to do it.

ive had the system for about a year now. just upgraded the RAM and DVD burner. i was going to move to Conroe but am going to wait for the reviews and the kinks to get worked about before the move.

ive gone from being an amd/ati guy to possibly a intel/nvidia.....ahhh the dark side feels so good.

in one, you can see the front which has a new bulgin power switch. the cathodes are partially on. in another, theathodes are turned on completely. the other three are various views of the interior and/or top. i replaced a wire fan grill with a mesh one. a 6 inch floppy cable was purchased to replace the 10ch cable currently used but the new cable is an inch too short (story of my life). I drilled three in the mobo tray to route some cables and one in the shelf in order to move some cables closer to the mobo and away from the cpu cooling fan. i may drill one in the back, right corner of the shelf to route the power cable/molex for the EZ Plug, too. so far, i'm pretty happy with the case. l'm debating how i want to hide the psu and hdd areas, tho. i may go with a black lexan with some laser etchings or some black meshx panels. i'm leaning towards the meshx panels and mounting them with lian-li thumbscrews. either way, i'll purchase the material from performance-pc's. the pics weren't taken at home. a friend of mine owns one of the computer shops in town and i had the case there today letting him see the newest build of Vista.
