Lian-Li V1000 - Wouldn't all those holes.....

....Let in an incredible amount of dust, kind of making the dust filter a joke, or am I missing something? Its about the only case I like the look of, but I need a case that has an effective filter.

I have that case. Yes, one downside is that there is dust, but since I have watercooling it isn't that big of a problem. And yes, the filter is a joke, just take it off. But I guess you'll just have to dust your comp more often.

I'm torn between my desire for a case that isn't clogged with dust (like my current one), and a nice looking case 😀

Question, have you ever tried removing the wheels? I'm wondering if doing that (which would end up blocking the bottom air holes), affects your temperatures noticeably.

No I haven't actually. I hate them but they're nice to have, I roll my comp out a lot to work on it. But I would imagine it would affect the PSU's temperature, the holes on the bottom are its only source of air.

EDIT: Back when I used air cooling, I really didn't get that much dust. After about 5 months of using three 120mm case fans as well as a high powered fan on my XP-90, I only got some dust in the heatsink and on the exhaust fan, that's it. A little wiping cleaned it up.

I agree - the holes don't seem to contribute to dust build-up as rapidly as one might think (although I am only running two 120mm fans, the stock ADDA exhaust, and a Vantec Stealth as the intake) along with an Panaflo L1BX (low-flow) on my XP-90. I just take a slightly dampended tissue and wipe the top of the XP-90 down every 6 months or so and I'm good.

I have an Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer 4 on my (stock on my videocard) that builds-up dust on the blades more rapidly than the fins on the XP-90 but it did that when I was running a Cooler Master WaveMaster case too.
