You can get the Lian Li PC-X500B cheaper at Dell Small Business than anywhere else... it's $295 and free shipping, but with taxes comes out to $313.

Still an awful lot for this case, but Lian Li is Lian Li. Most places charge $350+.

god dammit...I'm using a Cosmos S and have a TJ07 sitting right next to me! Why do you have to tempt me into another case???

I wonder if there are any coupons available on this...I would have to buy if I can knock it down to the $250 range...

Dell Small Business is not a Live cashback store unfortunately.

I believe Newegg has a combo deal for the Lian Li X500B, it's the case plus an EVGA Geforce GTX 295.

$505 for the card, $300 for the case. Savings of $60.

Outside of that there is Mwave which has the X500B for $340 shipped... it is not linked to Live cashback but it may have other sites (Fatwallet?).

It does say "Temporarily Out of Stock..."

However I am in for one, ordered it a few days ago. Even so the estimated ship date is 2/17, so I probably won't get it till the week of 2/23.

They must be getting these bad boys ferried over from Taiwan before shipping it out to us with UPS ;-)

Just a lil uninformed when it comes to Lina Lis here. I know they have a quite a reputation, but what exactly makes them special compared to antecs and coolermasters? The price seems a bit steep on this.

That's a tough question. I have read a lot of case reviews, main difference is that Lian Li uses 99-100% brushed, anodized aluminum as the material.

This is expensive, lightweight and very slick-looking. Antec/Coolermaster etc. use the same material but typically not for every part of the case.

Also Lian Li focuses exclusively on case design and manufacture, as a result they have often been the first to innovate stuff like cases with heat zones, vibration-proof HDD cages, sound-dampening pads on sides of case, etc.

Lian Li cases are often just better designed, also they have a very spare, minimalist aesthetic style that many people happen to like. They never have "pimped out" cases with lots of LEDs, flashy designs and transparent windows. Lian Li cases are elegant and artistic.

More mature if you will. The difference between a stately Rolls and some 20-year-old kid who has to have glowing lights under his heavily modded Civic and those rims that never stop spinning.

I don't deny Lian Li cases are overpriced. They sure are, and this one was particularly outrageous, with an initial street price of like $380, before shipping costs.
