Lian Li PC-V1000Z

I've been looking to replace my current case, and Ive noticed this as one of the better looking cases on the market...but I cannot find any reviews for it or any information besides whats on the website...even newegg has nothing on it in customer reviews...so I would like to know if anyone has any experence with this case...I really want to move up and I want something classy...and I think this is as classy as you can get so any help would be appreated.

PS...I know its alot of money but the only 2 investments i feel you can make on a computer is the case and keyboard

i think the case is more or less the same exact case as the other v1000's with the motherboard inverted (back to the conventional mounting method.)

i have the V1000B for 2-3 years and its been GREAT. went through about 4-5 complete builds and multiple upgrades with it and haven't had one problem with the case.
quality is unmatched by anything from coolermaster/antec.

Add monitor to that! After all, you will be staring at it all the time. The bigger and better...the better!

I am tempted to grab one myself but can't muster the strength to pull the trigger ($)
The only thing I don't really like is the window. It's hard to make a case look tidy.

I agree that the quality is good on the Lian-Li. But have you owned any coolermaster/antec cases recently to make that claim?

Anyhow, In my opinion, I think the V1010 looks like it might be a little better off in terms of quietness and cooling potential. Also, it has a removable motherboard tray, and it seems the v1000z doesn't from what I can tell on the Lian-Li website. And of course, I think it just looks better than the 1000 series.

Wow the 1010 looks really nice.

I kinda wish it was still inverted though, and is that card holder removable? I think it would interfere with a HR03

Yep. I just read a review the other day. They said that's the first thing you wanna do because it was difficult to use.

I've noticed it looked similar to the 1010 for $70 less too...The 1010 has the mid fan area and you can but and attach an exhaust for the pci like the 1000z...but I really want a windowed case and although they do sell windows for it i would expect it to come out to a prtty similar price...The only thing thats getting me mad is i cant find any up in Canada except one on ebay that will be $400 after shipping

I haven't seen a 1010 but there are 1100 and 1000's

FYI the 1000Z also has a built in SATA back plane, which the 1010 does not. The 1000Z is also only available with a side window.

Champ, have you checked out the PC-X2000?

It's got some really unique features like the side access for the optical and floppy drives.

Kinda tall, but definately some interesting features.

the X2000 is a nice case. however its kinda funky.

Anandtech's article on that 2110 i laughed at.

When i saw that case i went OMG its my rocket fish blinged out at 5x the cost!

im still in love with LianLi's Modular Cube, 343B.

I dont think there is any lianli case which is more sexier then that when done well.

I picked up the V1000Z and the case is sexy time, all the time. The only issue I have with it is they could have made it a little wider and added a removable mobo tray.

Personally I hate tooless cases, and this one has normal 5" drive bays but nice preinstalled HDD cages on the bottom. I would have gotten a larger sized case but I have clearance issues on my desk and can only fit a mid-tower case, I don't see myself ever getting a new case.

Hi guys, I want the V1000Z but I have some worries. Are the HDD cages removable? Because I want to fit a modular PSU without it sticking out of the case. Please help me, thanks.
