short and to the point as i'm still figuring out which parts will end up where. current configuration:

e6400 stock with intel hsf
evga 680i
2x 1g gskill pc 6400
2x 320gb seagate hdd
7900gs
nec dvd 7170a burner
seasonic m12 500w

newegg link

right angle
open side
it's home (hopefully 😛

not the best pictures and looks like i forgot to wipe the smudges off the fan controllers glass. thats a scythe kama, kinda some understated bling 🙂

anyway, took me some time to get used to working in this case and as you can see, wire management is a bit of a problem, for me at least. the seasonic cables are very stiff and while somewhat pliable, they aren't easy to hide in such cramped quarters.

in particular, the cpu mounts right behind the middle of the psu with the 8 pin atx connector off to the right. i'm limited to a hsf of about 3-1/2" due to the location of the cpu and psu. so until i dremel out the back plate of my 7700cu, i'm using the stock intel hsf.

the sata cables are very long but have a very short distance to travel in this case, leaving me tucking whatevver i can under the psu. likewise, the pci-e connector is tough to hide although when i switch things about, i'm sure i can hide that better. the 24, 8 and 4 pin connectors are a different story as they can only be clumped up as i did. kinda unsightly. 🙁

anyway, the case as a whole is decent and pretty much what i was looking for- smallish, sleek and classy. temps are pretty good considering all stock coolers-

cpu- idle ~ 45-50, load 60-64
gpu- idle ~ 43-45, load ?? haven't checked yet
system- ~ 30c but i don't know where that is being read.

i wish they had gone a little further in the details, such as supplying more than one extra thumbscrew. or supplying some black fan screws for the top mounted 80mm blowhole fan (which is not supplied, but i can understand that).

and as a WARNING to anyone buying this case, the front panel wires are painfully short, which is a huge problem as the mobo is inverted. luckily for me, the evga 680i front panel connectors are right above the 24 pin main.

i'll update this more when i finalize the build. i need to get that hsf replaced, not just for clocking, but for the noise. being positioned so close to those massive side vents, when it ramps up you know it 😛

that is all for now

nice rig there.

What fan controller is that? very sleek looking
that be the scythe kama. i like it alot. 7 different color led display, 3 face plates and solidly built.

I've always wondered what temps would be like with that kind of PSU-mobo alignment.. they don't seem to be that much warmer.

how noisy is the system?

its obscene right now but most of it is from the intel hsf. when that sucker ramps up its unbearable. i'll update it once i have time to put a zalman in.

i also have that little 40mm fan on the mobo wight near the upper side vent. i'm hoping the cnps7700 will hang over enough too cool the chipset heat pipe. either that or i may rig a larger fan up to blow on it and hook it to the fan controller.

Too bad you cant fit a tower in there because of the PS. Nice for a simple rig.
yeah, i knew it wouldn't accommodate a tower but i didn't count on the 680i board having problems with the back plates of so many coolers. i think a 7700cu will do fine though when i get to installing it.

Nice looking setup. One question. What kind of fan did you put in the CPU duct? That is one nice looking fan.
