Lian Li PC-A01A: Optical drive orientation...

I am considering the Lian Li PC-A01A uATX case, which can be used both as a mini tower and a desktop. When used as mini tower, the optical drive will be in a vertical position. I assume that a normal optical drive with tray loading will be impossible to use, so what do I choose - a slot loading drive or a notebook style tray loading drive where the cd is firmly mounted on the spindle?

EDIT: I can't seem to find any slot loading or notebook style drives in black anywhere (in Denmark that is), so that might actually keep my from buying the case - too bad as it is quite nice.

Thanks

Most tray loading desktop cd/dvd drives have small clips that will hold a disk in place till it enters the drive, at which point the orientation really matters not.

Thank you for the answer.

EDIT: Never mind, I just checked it out, and it will indeed stay in place.

you're quite welcome. I didn't see your post prior to being edited but, I'm sure it went something along the lines of "I've never seen those little tabs on a drive before but, I'll check it out" and to be totally honest with you I hadn't either for a long time till I ran across a drive that had swivel out tabs in the late 90's and I thought it was ingenious so I looked at my other drives to see why they didn't have it and they indeed did have it, just stationary.
