Lian Li PC-7 opinions

I'm considering getting a PC-7 case. Reason #1, it is the most budget Lian Li case. Reason #2, I would like an aluminum case that has an aluminum face instead of plastic or acrylic. Reason #3, I'd be making it fairly quiet, and don't like having a blowhole at the top of the case such as the new higher-end Lian Li cases have (PC-62, etc.).

My question is for people who have owned/used/checked out the PC-7 as well as the higher-end Lian Li cases. Is it of similar build quality? Some cheap aluminum cases seem pretty flimsy and I've worked on a computer with a Lian Li PC-60 and liked the build quality and aluminum thickness. Is the PC-7 similar?

I'll say this. I've got a PC-60 that I love.

I've also got a cheap but adequate skyhawk aluminum case that I bought from electroseller.com.

It's not the thickness of the aluminum or flimsyness that I find to be an issue, but rather the thought put into the design, such as enough places for fans, ease of opening front bezel, etc.

I don't see how you could go wrong with any Lian-Li case.

I have a PC-7, and when I look at the OTHER Lian-Li's I see no advantages that they have over the PC-7.
It is well built, and I see no reason to have another case. In a word - Outstanding.
Yes, some of the other cases have different features, but do you even need those features?

Thanks for the information, guys.

No, that's why I was thinking of the PC-7. Almost all of the higher end ones have blowholes at the top - something I don't need or want.

I'm probably going to pick one up next chance I get to go to the Pomona computer show (a bit East of LA). JCL always has a booth there and I can probably get a killer price. For those who don't know...

Quoting their web site:
http://www.bridgeview.com/
JCL Computer Parts is an importer and distributor...
We are the primary distributor in the U.S.A for Lian-Li computer cases...
Please come visit us at our headquarters:
2900 E. La Cresta Ave.
Anaheim, California 92806
Or, come visit us at the Los Angeles County Computer Fair in Pomona

Maybe I can get a "special" price since my last name is the same as the owner of the company. According to Chinese wisdom if your last names are the same you are related in some way. ;)

i think the removable mobo tray can come in handy, which, iirc, the pc-7 doesn't have. the fan control is missing too i think, but is not any deal breaker for me.
