Anyone own or have experience with the Lian Li PC 65 USB case? Everything I have read praises the case and says its great. I'm in the research phase of building a computer and am now in the process of looking at cases. The idea of aluminum appeals to me and this looks to be a awesome case. If anyone can comment on their experience with it I would appreciate it a lot.

If you happen to know how much it weighs, that would be interesting to know too.

I have the PC-60, which is almost the same. I'd definatly recommend it to you!

I dig mine !

The ONLY negative thing about it is my HD seems louder than in my old case because of how good the venting is right in front of where my hard diks are, but then the better venting is a major plus (as well as the built in filter which i supplemented with a chunk of furnace filter media).

The Lian-Li PC60USB and PC-65USB are the same cases but with a different side panel. Both are great cases. You just have to figure out if you want the clear window or not. They are lightweight and I'm sure you can find the exact specs somewhere.

They are expensive but you should be happy with either case for years to come...

Hello!

I have the Lian Li PC-65 and love it! Put a lot of thought and did A LOT of research before picking it out for my current rig, but very happy with the decision.

The case is very light, VERY ROOMY and has great touches. For example, the removable HD bay sits directly behind the two front air intake fans, which sit behind a thick layer of washable (foam) filter material. This provides direct cooling to up to four HDs. Another cool feature is that the front fans have a three-speed selector switch behind the removable front bezel...provides for some measure of sound/cooling management. There are so many neat design "touches" that it will definately impress all but the most veteran DIY'ers.

You can get windowless version of the same case (PC-60 or PC-61 in black) for less monel, but the case sets-up so well inside that it's really nice to see how clean and nice all the hardware is inside it. The window is high-quality all the way: thick, clear and protected very well in the box. It is riveted to the panel....some like the look of this, others don't. For me, it's much more secure than using stripping to keep it in place and it looks much cleaner and more "integrated."

All in all, getting this case is not a bad way to go! Good luck! ;)

I'm another satisfied PC-65 owner. I love the room it has in it and you won't find a case that's easier to work in. Everything is tool-less, and the psu tray and mobo tray slide out very well. You can get at almost everything by just taking the side panel off.

The detachable led/power bundle is the most convenient thing I think I've ever worked with. No more messing around with trying to put all the plugs back on the posts when taking out your mobo. Plus you can install them when your mobo is out if you are replacing your mobo.

I personally would go for the clear side panel. I have a green cold cathode light in there and it really shows off the inside of the case. It would be a shame to have such a nice case and not be able to see what it looks like on the inside. The only thing I can't figure out on this case is how to hook up the damn usb ports up front. I finally said "screw it", and bought the Lian Li I/O adapter.

Zodder, meybe we can help each other out.

For the USB, I just looked at my optional USB PCI extension slot that came with the KR7A and ligned up the wires on the pc-60 according to the color of the wires on the extension.

It's very simple.

Can you tell me how you detach led/power bundle?? I always detached it from the mobo and not the case. Is there another way im missing???

The bundle goes like this: LED/PWR ====(wires) [] connector ====(wires) |||| mb headers.

So you connect everything to the motherboard and when you want to pull your mb tray back you detatch the connector so it splits apart.
