I just bought this case and am in love with it! But, I have a couple of small problems. First I can`t figure out how to mount my two hard drives in the housing they provide. And second, I can`t figure out how to properly hook up the cables for the hard drive, and power lights in the front of the case, and the four usb plugins. Any help greatly apprecitated!!!

""how to mount my two hard drives in the housing they provide"""

the bays under where the floppy sits are the same as in any other case - in the lower ones, the drives mount vertically - remove it using the thumbscrews, bolt the drives in and re-fit - this is the location best for hot-drives like 7200RPM Barracudas as they`re right in front of the twin intake fans , normal 5400RPM ones will be fine in the bays under the floppy and won`t get in the way of the case cooling - one tip, the intake fans are very slow AddAs, run them on fastest speed, they`re still quiet

"""I can`t figure out how to properly hook up the cables for the hard drive""

I don`t understand what you mean here - IDE and powert light cables hook up the same in any type of case..

"""and the four usb plugins"""

they are for extra USB ports your board may have, you`ll have to check the motherboard`s manual for the pin-outs, they DON'T replicate the ones on the ATX Backplane.. Some motherboards have 6 USB PORT capability, and you get to use all 6 with the LianLi - if you have only 4-port capability (as is usual) you just use one pair of the front ports..

Thanks for the help! I never would have thought of mounting the hd`s vertically! Well, first problem solved. Now if I could just get my darn lights to work. I have tried forwards and backwards on the motherboard. Neither way works, I wonder if I have a bad cable? Will keep messin with it!:D

I've gotten the left 2 USB ports on the front working (no more USB headers left on mobo)...It was a pain since my motherboard (Epox 8kha+) USB headers seem to have one extra pin in each row than the example ones they show on the Lian Li docs. I think I ended up just having to offset one row by one pin and things seem to work out now.

Trapman7, your case should have come with a glossy fold out instruction sheet which shows you how to wire up those tiny single wires to your motherboard's USB headers. It's a pain and if you have a set of probes or tiny needle nose pliers it will definitely help you get those wires on.

As others said, for the bottom 5 3.5" bays you mount your drives vertically. Now that I think about it my power light also either doesn't work or else it's super extra dim compared to the supernova-like red LED hard drive light. :)

Gaidin, the blue power light is substantially dimmer than the red activity light. I find that the only way I really see it is to look at the case nearly straight on. I have my case on the floor, so I basically never see the light. Oh well.

Ok then it must just be the blue LED...I have it plugged in correctly but it's very very dim. My tower is on the floor as well so I too can basically never see the LED glowing. <shrug> I don't really need any more lights in my room though. :)

Thanks though. It's good to know that it's not just me.

Yeesh, trouble with the PC65? The cables are even labeled (especially useful for the USB cables), unlike the PC60, where you had to match the color with the diagram to find out which wire did what, then look on your mobo manual to find out which wire goes where.
