Ok, so anyone who has a Lian Li case might be able to help me out here.

When you remove the hard drive rack there's a metal square thing that it connects to and it has a circle shapped thing in the middle that has two wires (1 black, 1 red) coming out of it.

What is it, and can you take it out?

My hard drive cage doesn't have any metal square things with circles and wires (which, btw, sounds an awful lot like a fan). What case model do you have?

It's not a Fan...PC-65

It's the bracket that holds the hard drive cage, and inside the bracket there's a circular thing with the wires coming out of it.

Wondering if it's anything I need cause I want to put a pump there.

The circle thing with the wires is the case speaker. You can take it out if you don't really want a case speaker.

Hey Mech :)

You wouldn't happen to know what tool would work would ya? There're not regular case screws is why I ask.

/me steals a peek at the underside of his office-dwelling Lian-Li

As I recalled. The case has a couple of tangs punched into the floor. The rim of the speaker is under the tangs, and then they had a rivet holding the rim down in a third place. Take a small drill bit and drill the core out of the rivet, and it's outta there :)

BTW you might consider a filter mod to boost airflow while lowering turbulence & noise. You can Dremel out the center, leaving some edge to stick that edge moulding onto (perhaps 1/4 inch). I use the medium-thickness fiberglass-reinforced Dremel wheels and naturally I wear a face shield, this is not easy on the wheels and even the fiberglass ones can break.

Yeah but I need a place to put a pump, and that's the only space available...
